What started as a mission trip quickly became the foundation for a slow fashion brand rooted in purpose, artistry, and global connection.

I didn’t set out to build a brand when I boarded a flight to Guatemala - I was there to serve, to listen, and to be present. But in the cobblestone streets, colorful open-air markets, and the hands of artisans who’ve been crafting for generations, I discovered a deeper story. One of heritage and craftsmanship, that deserved to be told and shared.

That’s where the idea for Lauren Reed Co. began: a timeless accessories brand built on tradition, soul, and connection.

With a background in business and a deep respect for artisan heritage, I knew that I didn’t want to create “just another handbag line.” I wanted to build something thoughtful, a collection of artisan-made leather bags that feel elevated yet personal and timeless.
